It's finally summer....Right?

So, here it is the middle of August and I'm still waiting to bitch about the heat! It snowed here the first week in June...I'm not talking a skiff, I'm talking enough snow to actually shovel! I'm starting to think that "global warming" is just Al Gore's version of George Bush's "weapons of mass destruction", Where is it??

I have managed to get out a little despite the weather. No where near as much as last year though. By this time last year I'd logged over 3,000 miles...This year, maybe 1,000. Doesn't hardly seem right.

Anyway, here's some pics from the few I did escape:

This is a camping we went on at Elk River, ID. It rained most of the trip, but we did manage to have some fun.

This was a run to Bovill, Idaho, the sun actually came out! As you can see, the best part of the run was the party.....

We're heading up to Republic, Washington the 23rd of August. I've never been to this run so I'm not real sure how it'll turn out, hopefully it will be worth the trip. If nothing else, I'll be close to Canada in case our wonderful govenor decides to add any more taxes on gas....I can defect.

I'll right more when I get more....Not real eventful summer so far

Winter Blues

It's January 3rd and the winter blues have set in deep. So many months before it's warm or dry enough to ride. Half the upgrades and customization projects are complete and the "Riding Bug" is alive and well.

This is the time of year we all wonder if we live in the right part of the country. Should we move to warmer climates? Can I bundle up enough to ward off the freezing cold? Can I attach snowmobile tracks and skis? Or do I just hunker down and wait it out?

For most of us, hunkering down and waiting is the solution. So here's the question I pose to you that choose not to wait.

"how do you ward off the winter blues? Add your insight to this yearly dilemma and perhaps we can all benefit.
